Our story

A quarter century of listening, learning, and building

Ingen grew by getting close to lighting professionals, learning their daily work, and turning those conversations into software that fits the industry.

2000

The company begins

Independent Software Training and Design was incorporated in Cabot, Arkansas and soon focused its custom software work on the lighting industry.

2001

Ingen takes shape

The company became Ingen Software. OASIS grew from an agency application into tools for agencies, distributors, and manufacturers.

2020

OASIS expands online

As remote work changed customer needs, Ingen accelerated the web-based OASIS experience and continued modernizing the platform.

2024

The ecosystem grows

Ingen launched folio and acquired SpecSeek, expanding from business operations into product data, selection, and customer collaboration.
